1. As has been pointed out ad nauseaum, the author claims that voting for Trump is an action akin to rushing the cockpit of Flight 93 over Pennsylvania on 9/11, but he’s too cowardly to give his own name, hiding behind the pseudonym of “Publius Decius Mus,” a Roman consul who sacrificed himself in battle. I have a theory about who the author is, but since I’m pretty harsh about him I guess I should keep my mouth shut lest I criticize the wrong person. I’m perfectly willing to criticize the correct person, you understand.
2. Comparing the heroes of Flight 93 to Trump supporters is laughable and insulting. What possible comparison can there be between people who did indeed give their very lives to save others and . . . those who have fallen into line with the crowd, followed the party line? What sacrifices are they making, may I ask?
Well, you get the picture. The article is a brilliant takedown of the whole airplane flight metaphor:
“This Isn’t the Flight 93 Election, It’s the Flight MH370 Election”
